It’s been a long wait, but after 22 years, Yiannis Parios is finally returning to Australia. With concerts lined up in Darwin, Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney, the much-loved Greek singer is due to grace the stage with music that has stood the test of time.
With a 40-year career behind him, hundreds of thousands of record sales to his name, and every one of his releases having achieved gold and platinum sales, Paros-born Parios spans the generations with songs that are still listened to today. In fact, his album Nisiotika, a collection of songs from the Aegean islands, which as an islander, he first learnt and sang as a child, holds the record for the most album sales in Greece ever.
