Award nominated film director Alexander Payne has been awarded with a top nod for Greeks of the diaspora in the US, for making a mark in 2011. Alongside CEOs, strategists and a professional basketball player, Payne was given the honour for his contribution to film.
After a seven year break from directing film and screen writing, Payne has made a glorious comeback with his Golden Globe-nominated movie The Descendants. Starring actor George Clooney, the film has been receiving rave reviews all over the world.
