Collingwood 2010 premiership forward Alan Didak has torn an abductor muscle in his groin during training and will miss at least four weeks before hitting the track again.

Didak’s form in 2011 left much to be desired after missing much of last year’s pre-season because of a pectoral muscle injury which was followed by a calf injury in mid-season.

Geoff Walsh, Collingwood’s Director of Football said Didak’s injury may be unpredictable in how many weeks the Collingwood utility player would miss from training.

Didak commented that it was extremely frustrating for him to again be on the sideline especially after his bad trot in 2011. Meanwhile some good news – Martin Clarke, who returned to the Magpies after spending 2 years in Ireland, is training well and ready to claim a permanent midfield spot for the ‘Pies’ in 2012!
