Newly crowned Greek champion Olympiakos lost 1-0 at home to Kerkyra after a late goal by Ilias Ioannou last Sunday.
Ioannou scored in the 80th minute to help Kerkyra in its bid to avoid relegation. Six teams are fighting to avoid the two spots which will join last-place Drama in the second division next season.
With two rounds left, Olympiakos has already clinched a 39th league title as it holds an unassailable seven-point lead over second-place Panathinaikos, which beat visiting Panionios 3-0.
Third-place Atromitos, which drew 0-0 with fourth-place PAOK is 18 points behind Olympiakos.
Aris’ match against Asteras was abandoned with Asteras leading 1-0 when Aris fans threw projectiles and injured a lineswoman.
The referee demanded the evacuation of the stands from which the projectiles were thrown. He abandoned the game 70 minutes later when this still had not happened, despite the efforts of Aris officials.
Also Sunday, OFI beat Panaitolikos 1-0, Giannena beat visiting AEK Athens 2-1 to escape relegation danger and last-place Drama drew 1-1 at home with Ergotelis.
In Piraeus, Olympiakos’ plans for postgame festivities to celebrate the league title were shattered by Kerkyra’s victory. The hosts dominated throughout, but Kerkyra packed its defense to frustrate their efforts.
In one of Kerkyra’s few forward forays, Olympiakos left back Jose Holebas bungled and a grateful Dimitris Giantsis squared for Ioannou to score from inside the area.
In the end, the planned festivities were canceled with most of the 33,000-strong crowd booing the players.
Due to Greek Orthodox Easter no matches will be played this weekend.
