Minister for Multiculturalism and Citizenship Nicholas Kotsiras joined the large crowd in Mildura to celebrate at the Festival of the Olives, last Sunday.
The festival was an opportunity for Victorians to spend time with family and friends, meet new friends, enjoy the delights of Greek cuisines and learn about the enormous contribution that olive growers have made to the Sunraysia area.
“Festivals provide the wider community with the opportunity to gain a better understanding of different cultures and traditions. This is important if we are to create a greater understanding among the great variety of cultures and people living in Mildura and the Sunraysia area,” said Mr Kotsiras.
