Greek Orthodox Archdiocese Colleges from all over Australia converged on St George College in Adelaide last week to take part in the National Schools Event.
The event saw over 380 students participate in not only sporting activities but also celebrate Greek language and culture.
The students – from the colleges: St George, SA; Oakleigh Grammar, VIC; St Johns, VIC; St Euphemia, NSW; St Spyridon, NSW; St Andrew, WA; and St John, VIC – all gathered in this annual event that saw them showcase their Hellenism through all aspects of their education.
On Thursday night, St George College held a special dinner in honour of all the participants who expressed their Greek culture on the night through poetry, song, dance and theatre. On Friday, an award ceremony was held for all participants, and medals were presented to all winners for their sporting prowess.
