Actress, director, screenwriter, singer, producer and now author Nia Vardalos has done it yet again; this time signing a book deal with HarperOne about her struggles to become a mum and adoption journey.
After marrying husband Ian Gomez in 1993 the two spent 10 long years trying to start a family. Finally, after fertility treatment failures and four years of adoption processes, the couple brought home the three-year-old girl they had for so long desired.
Vardalos’ ‘how-to’ book for a successful adoption process is aimed to teach her audience the good, the bad, and the ugly of adoption and how to go about it. Produced through her own journey and experience HarperOne publisher Mark Tuber said in a statement, “we are excited to offer this important new resource on successful adoption. We believe that Nia’s story and the information in this book will help many, many people.”
The book is set to be published April 2013, to coincide with National Adoption Month.
