If you thought the Olympics lacked a few sports, Sunshine Height Primary school will be showcasing some new events the Olympic committee might like to consider.
On 8 August, the school’s Olympics day will see the students competing for gold in sack racing, beanbag throwing and sand castle making to name just a few.
The usual events – sprints, long jump, discus – might not draw such a big crowd.
Celebrating the 2012 London Olympics, the students will start the day with an opening ceremony that will include the schools own Olympian graduate, Jeff Olver.
At the end of the day the fastest students will have a race off.
