Madonna, Queen of Pop, has cancelled her rumoured Australian tour, due to a “change of heart”.
The cancellation was confirmed by Live Nation Australia, who said that it was a quick decision made by Madonna’s management.
While dates were never officially set, it was leaked earlier this year that Madonna would bring her MDNA tour to Australia, which was to be her first since 1993. Summer dates for Melbourne and Sydney were set to be announced on July 12, but were postponed due to the London Olympics.
Rumours were that Australian ticket prices could fetch as much as $1,500 for Gold Ticket front section tickets, despite Madge reportedly refusing to play hits from the past 20 years claiming it “not to be a greatest hits tour.”
