The Cretan brotherhood of Melbourne and Victoria held its 10th annual Soultaninas dance, which is held every year as a special celebration for both the young and older generations.
A competition for the best home made wines was held, all the wines were taste tested on the night and the top three were rewarded with a trophy. The wines were all red and made from local grapes. This year the first prize winner was Mr Manolis Lilimbakis, second was Mr Fotis Kosmas and third prize went to Mr Ioannis Papamathaios.
The President, Mr Sifis Mantakakis, told Neos Kosmos the competition is always a great success and everyone who attends the presentation is eager to find out who is the winner out of the eight contestants who participated in the traditional wine making competition.
Mr Mantakakis thanked everyone who took part in the competition, committee members for their hard work and efforts, also all the club’s members, sponsors and supporters who always attend.
