South Melbourne football club has settled their dispute with the Greek businessman taking them to court.

The club has settled out of court on Thursday, effectively censoring any information on settlement. The Club spoke to Neos Kosmos and the president says the matter is now over.

President Leo Athanasakis said “I’d like to ensure that there is no court pending with Wellington Investments. “We never wanted South Melbourne FC to be dragged to court and we did all we could to stop it. It’s about time to focus on the future of the team.

We’re moving on.” As Neos Kosmos reported, the issue pertained to an outstanding loan in excess of $100,000 secured in 2004. The loan written up by the businessman and his father, saved the club from receivership.
