In a room full of scouts and friends on Sunday 13 October, the 6th Box Hill Scout Group celebrated its 50th anniversary.
The survival for half a century for any organisation, especially in this day and age is remarkable, especially if said organisation is a community group that helps educate and connect young Greek Australians.

Crowds came in droves to support the scouts.

Young scouts continue the tradition.
Amongst the many attendees there were old and new members in their scout uniforms or wearing their scout’s scarf with the colours of the Hellenic flag.
Even the celebratory cake depicted the Greek flag, and addition the Groups founding leader, Mr Angelis Kalodoukas was particularly proud of.
