Leslie Manning is one of the last surviving members of the 2/7th Battalion Australian Infantry who fought in Crete in 1941. He fought alongside Reg Saunders and was captured by the Germans on June 2 1941 near Sfakia.
He spent the rest of the war as a POW in Germany. Leslie Manning will be Guest of Honour at The Xylouris Ensemble’s concert at Fed Square tonight.
