If you are looking to dig a little deeper into the impact of the global COVID-19 pandemic, The Wheeler Centre will be hosting a live stream at 6:15pm today with journalist and author George Megalogenis, hosted by Melbourne broadcaster and anthropologist Sally Warhaft.
In a special live-streamed edition of The Fifth Estate podcast, the two writers will offer an analysis of our precarious present and what may be in store for us in future.
Next Tuesday evening, @GMegalogenis joins @SallyWarhaft for a live-streamed chat about the long-term effects of the #coronavirusau pandemic.
How will it affect our healthcare, economic, political systems? Our work, communities and lives? https://t.co/XG9ZM0DUbi #TWCFifthEstate pic.twitter.com/mJkyjqbSjq

Referencing and learning from past turmoil such as the 2008 Global Financial Crisis, post-World War II unemployment and more historical events, they will consider what the ever-growing challenges of the coronavirus will mean for “national character, for different workers and citizens, and for our political era.”
