The General Secretariat for Public Diplomacy which falls under Greece’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has released the second and final part of the video “Staying at Home, Travelling through Literature: Diplomats recite Greek Literature”.

The ministry said in a statement released on Tuesday that: “This initiative aims at sending out a message of international solidarity in the fight against the global threat of Covid-19 pandemic and encouraging us all to keep our positivity, creativity and imagination vivid through the richness, universality and timelessness of Greek literature.”

Τhe second part of the video includes a reading from Australia’s ambassador to Greece Thanassis ‘Arthur’ Spyrou, as well as from the ambassadors og Belgium, Bulgaria, Finland, Germany, Italy, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Portugal and the Slovak Republic.

“We would like to cordially thank them for their cooperation and their spirit of solidarity,” said the ministry.
