The deadline for papers for the 10th International Conference on Greek Research has now been extended until Friday 19 April.
The conference will be hosted by LOGOS Australian Centre for Hellenic Language and Culture and the Department of Language Studies at Flinders University and supported by The Foundation for Hellenic Studies, and presented concurrently with the 2nd International Conference on Ageing in a Foreign Land. It will be held at the Bedford Park campus of Flinders University, located in Adelaide, South Australia, on 27-30 June 2013.
The inter-disciplinary conference will explore themes from Greek and Cypriot studies and generational perspectives on ageing. It is open to academics, researchers, practitioners and policy makers.
A vibrant program will be dedicated to papers and posters relating to Greek, Cypriot studies and Ageing in the Migrant Diasporas that will continue the tradition of the international conferences on Greek Research and will include the following areas of research: Ancient Greek Philosophy; An Exploration of Digital Environments; Classical Studies; Cyprus from 1960-2013: 53 years later; Education; Generational Perspectives on Ageing; History and Migration; Literature and Language; Two day Professional Development for Teachers in Modern Greek; Online Learning; and Society and Culture.
To submit an abstract (up to 200 words) use the on-line Abstract form available on the conference website. All abstracts must be received by Friday 19 April, however early submissions are encouraged. Oral presentations – 20 minute papers will be followed by 10 minute discussion time at the end of each session. Poster presentations also welcome.
