Several Melburnian Greeks reached out to Neos Kosmos on Sunday expressing their grief over Steve Lazaridis’ death.
At just 55 years of age, he suffered a fatal heart attack, with friends and loved ones still processing the suddenness of his passing.
“We are in shock! Still, cannot believe it happened,” estranged wife Christina told Neos Kosmos.
Together the couple had two daughters, Nikoletta and Ioanna, while Mr Lazaridis leaves behind another daughter, Andriana, from his first wedding with Anna.
A proud Florinian, Steve Lazaridis is remembered within Melbourne’s tight-knit community as an active and kind individual, always with a smile on his face.
He was also known to many through his profession as a real estate agent.
In recent years he had been directing an agency in Balwyn North.
The news of his sudden passing broke on Sunday morning.
The details of his funeral were not yet known at the time of publication.
