Self-proclaimed unromantic Angelo Panagiotou took to the sky when proposing to his nine-year partner Christie-Lee Beggs, after he posted his proposal up in lights on a billboard in the Melbourne CBD last week.
The 43-year-old chose to pop the question with a bright pink 26-metre message on a city billboard on a busy Friday night.
Angelo got down on one knee and proposed to his girlfriend on the corner of Swanston and Bourke streets. Bystanders burst into applause while Christie-Lee – whom he calls Dee – broke out into tears, proclaiming she had been waiting eight years for this proposal.
