James Georges, father of three young children, has tragically died after a tree fell on him on his rural property in Melbourne’s northwest.
The 39-year-old was cutting down a large gum tree on his Ashbourne property when the 30 metre high tree fell first onto another tree and then onto him. Ambulance Victoria spokesman John Mullen said Mr Georges was dead when the parademics arrived on the scene.
He is survived by his wife Sharon and his three children aged six, three and just five months old.
