Elpida Hatziandreou, 101, originally from Vourla, Asia Minor and resident of Melbourne, celebrated Mother’s Day with her family – children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces.
Three adoring generations of successors surrounded Ms Hatziandreou, celebrating the years of love and care she has shared with them.
Her great-grandson, Lucas, recited a short heartwarming message in French, a language spoken by the great-grandmother after growing up in Lyon, France, where she lived with her mother and sister after the disaster of Asia Minor.

The 101-year-old’s other great-grandchildren Zoe, Isla, Sebastian and Julian played her uplifting music pieces, expressing their love and respect.
Mrs Hatziandreou thanked everyone for the great joy they gave her, reveling in the incredible legacy she has already had a great impact on.
