Gyms will reopen on Monday (May 31), Deputy Minister for Civil Protection & Crisis Management Nikos Hardalias confirmed at the regular live briefing on the coronavirus pandemic on Friday.
As in schools, gym users will have to present a negative self-diagnostic test and wear a double face mask.
The minister noted that details will be released in terms of exercises that cannot be completed while wearing masks.
In addition, Hardalias said 5×5 courts and open-air basketball courts will also reopen on Monday for exclusive use by amateur athletes. Their health protocols will be the same as those for professional athletes, however.
