Coming off an award-wining season for the Women’s Premier League (WPL) in South Melbourne, Tiffany Eliadis has been named in the Women’s Melbourne Victory squad.
The 18-year-old striker has made waves in the women’s league, and just two weeks ago won the Football Federation of Victoria’s (FFV) best and fairest award and the golden boot for her performance. She managed to net a whopping 29 goals from 22 appearances for South Melbourne this year. She also carried her side into the WPL grand final against Sandringham, but didn’t manage a win to make it the cherry on the cake.
Now, Eliadis joins four Matildas in the Victory squad and two internationals, Swede Jessica Samuelsson and New Zealander Katie Hoyle.
Melbourne Victory will take on the Women’s Premier League All Stars of Victoria in a friendly match at 2pm on Saturday at John Cain Memorial Park.
