With restrictions extended to Greater Sydney, the Blue Mountains, Wollongong and the Central Coast the  Archdiocese will be suspending public worship in all the churches located in these areas.

The new restrictions will be applied from f 6pm this evening and will be in effect until 11.59pm on Friday 9 July. In the meantime, attendance will not be permitted but all services, including the commemoration of the saint’s feast days, and the Divine Liturgies will be performed normally but only by the priest and the chanter.

If you have a baptism or wedding scheduled between now and July 9, please contact your parish priest to make alternative arrangements. Based on compassionate grounds, only weddings scheduled for tomorrow can take place.

Similarly, from Monday 28 June to Friday 9 July, the Consulate General of Greece in Sydney will only be handling emergency and strictly necessary consular cases, by appointment only. Already scheduled appointments for the above period are postponed until further notice.
