Greece’s tennis star Stefanos Tsitsipas did not manage to move through to the final round of the Cincinnati Tennis after he conceded to Germany’s Alexander Zverev with 6-4 3-6 7-6 in 2 hours and 41 minutes.

In what was dubbed a “dramatic and classic” match between Tsitsipas and Zverev, both players had momentum but eventually the German prevailed.

Zverev, moving through a double break down took over Tsitsipas in a tiebreak that made fans hold their breath several times.

Even though the Greek star managed to exhaust his opponent with his serves, Zverev pulled through taking away an almost certain 5-3 close from Tsitsipas.

Zverev, whose now record sits at 4-0 will be facing  Andrey Rublev tomorrow in the finals for a chance at the Cincinnati title.

Dramatic & classic. 🙌
