A woman crossing an intersection of North and Booran Roads in Ormond on foot, was hit and killed by a truck earlier this week.
According to Police the truck collided with the pedestrian at the intersection around 11am on Wednesday and died at the scene.
Even though the female pedestrian is yet to be formally identified by the authorities, she is a member of the Greek-Australian community.
The coroner is preparing a report while the 75-year-old driver of the car is assisting police with their inquiries.
Anyone who witnessed the crash or have dashcam footage have been urged to contact police.
