Belmore United have secured Perry Moustakas as their head coach for the Football NSW Men’s State League Two competition. He’ll be leading the team into the 2014 season, hoping to capitalise on the squad’s strong performance in 2013.

“It is an honour to coach Belmore United FC, a club with 41 years of history, the club Tim Cahill played for before trying his luck in Europe,” Moustakas said about the appointment.

“For the 2014 winter season we hope to strengthen the team and go one better and make the Top 5 Finals Series after missing out by one point this year.”

Perry Moustakas made a name for himself in first division football in Cyprus, playing for Salamina FC, Apollon and APOEL. Moustakas will be assisted by Adamos Pierettis, while Stamati Kefalonias has been re-appointed as the head coach of the reserves for 2014.

Trials for the reserves will take place next week, starting on Tuesday December 3 from 6.30 pm-8.00 pm and will go through till Sunday December 15. Trials will be held at Punchbowl Boys High School, Kelly Street, Punchbowl, and those interested can contact info@belmoreunitedfc or call 02 9758 6371.
