In his 96 years, Mikis Theodorakis created so many songs that spoke to the heart of the Greek people.
He was an influential public figure fighting for a better world, so much so that Greece has declared three days of national mourning.
To honour his life and work, Australian Theodorakis fans, who are part of Melbourne based choir Canto Coro, are putting together an online event full of music, memories, tributes and a singalong.
The Zoom event will take place on 11 September at 6:00pm AEST. No RSVP is required, just log on, and pass on the link to other Theodorakis fans.
