Victoria has recorded 1,923 new local COVID-19 cases and 25 deaths ahead of tomorrow’s further easing of restrictions.

The new cases were detected from 82,648 test results received yesterday, and bring the active cases of the virus in Victoria to 22,189. There are now 272 people who have died during the current Delta outbreak.

At 6pm on Friday, retail stores will open to the vaxxed and unvaxxed alike, but half a million Victorians have been warned to get vaccinated or get left behind. Premier Daniel Andrews has signalled that the rule will change for just the vaccinated to be allowed entry once the state reaches its 90 per cent vaccine goal, expected at around 17 November.
