A one-day conference on Diaspora Greeks will be held at the East Chamber of the Academy of Athens Megaron on Monday, 15 November.
The conference entitled “Greek Diaspora – History, Achievements and Contributions to Greece” will be held under the auspices of the Academy of Athens and the General Secretariat for Greeks Abroad and Public Diplomacy of the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Organisers said the aim of the event was to provide “an overall and objective view on the two-way connection between Greeks or those of Greek ethnic background who lived in other countries and their homeland, while providing a comprehensive approach to a multidimensional chapter of Greek national history”.
Presentations will be made by prominent experts and individuals focusing on a variety of physical and cultural fields including: Physical Sciences, Ethical and Political Sciences as well as letters and fine arts.

Most speakers will be delivering their talks to a limited audience and live streaming of the event will be available to a worldwide audience.
