There was a lot to celebrate for the committee, management, staff, and friends of AGAPI Care, who came together last Friday for the last event of the year.
The organisation won two awards for 2021. In December AGAPI Care received the APAC Business Award “Community Organisation of the Year for 2021” and on 7 December the organisation was highly commended for the “Business Award for Excellence 2021” by the Victorian Multicultural Commission.
During the event, Appreciation Awards were presented to the ‘Young Volunteers’ Yianni Pilipasidis, Philip Gakopoulos, Victoria Pilipasidis and Melanie Oplopiadis
During the Christmas party that took place on 5 December 2021 at Normandy House in Thornbury, clients had the chance to meet Santa Clause and receive their Christmas gifts, dancing and mingling with their friends.
George Kyritsis and Family, were recognised during the celebrations for their unwavering support and contribution to the organisation, and another award of appreciation was presented to the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Australia District of Northcote, for their support throughout 2021. Employees who went above and beyond their role were also honoured during the event.
