Miltos Tentoglou may have not gotten the Top Greek Athlete Award in his country for 2021 but the gold medalist in the long jump ended 2021 at the very top of the world rankings, as announced today by the World Athletics Federation.
This is one of the greatest accomplishments by a Greek athlete in this category.
Meanwhile, Antigoni Drisbioti, received second place of the 35km walk while ranking 10th in the 20km walk.
Alexandros Papamichael also got the fourth place in the 35km for men with an impressive record.
Greek pole vaulter Katerina Stefanidi got third place in her category while Nikol Kyriakopoulou is sits at number eight with Eleni Polak in the 22nd place.
Triple jumper Voula Papachristou is in ninth place.
