Neos Kosmos has been telling your stories since 1957. Since 13 February 1957 to be precise.

Today marks the 65th anniversary of the first edition of Neos Kosmos to be printed, an opportunity to celebrate a huge milestone that has been reached thanks to you, our readers.

The last couple of years have been particularly challenging for all. Neos Kosmos was not an exception.

In fact, the years marked by the pandemic were probably the toughest for the newspaper in its 65-year-long trajectory.

The blow was purely financial though. Our readership in print and online grew and our relationship with our audiences has grown stronger.

Today, we celebrate the long history of this connection with the community.

By remembering that the foundations were laid by Neos Kosmos‘ founder Dimitri Gogos.

By reflecting on the new way forward, paved over the years with the opening up to new technologies and a wider audience, inclusive of English-speaking younger generations, under the direction of publisher Christopher Gogos.

And importantly, by paying tribute to you, our supporters.

Whether you have supported us as a reader, a business or a community stakeholder, you have played a role in ensuring the stories of our Greek Australian community continue to be told. In your own voice, with your own imprint and the credibility that Neos Kosmos has established for 65 years now for you to rely on.

We have kept going amidst the toughest times of the pandemic, but we need your help to continue our commitment.

Neos Kosmos is your newspaper. Become a subscriber to ensure that we continue serving you, your loved ones, your community.
