At the meeting lifelong Olympiacos supporter Georgina Papafotiou was elected the president of the new committee. She had served in that role in 2019.
“My father, Sotiris Papafotiou, is one of the first life members of the club from the time he worked in Piraeus in the 1950s. More than 60 years a fanatic which he passed on to us. When I become a grandmother, I will pass it on to my grandchildren,” Ms Papafotiou told Neos Kosmos.

“Last year, during the COVID lockdowns, we made contact with the club in Sydney and we also spoke to a club representative in Greece. We were to have met in September but had to cancel because of COVID. We have designed our own polo tops and key rings and started a new merchandise line. We also put up a poster on our Facebook page.”
The new committee will meet on 27 February to draft a three-year strategic plan.
“One of our priorities will be to establish a web page with a link to becoming a member. …At the moment, anyone interested in becoming a member can contact us through Facebook,” Ms Papafotiou said.
