Their lackluster league opening derby left fans disappointed, but now with Melbourne Heart getting its mojo back and Victory chasing the top, fans will flock with new enthusiasm.
Heart is surely earning back their fan’s trust, after it did the unthinkable last week and carved out a 1-0 victory against leaders Bisbane Roar all without injury prone Harry Kewell.
Heart have been transformed since John van ‘t Schip took over from the sacked John Aloisi in the last days of December and have been unbeaten since January 10.
They now lie on the same points as ninth on the ladder, Perth Glory.
Victory got overtaken by Adelaide United thanks to goal difference and now sits in fourth position.
Adelaide managed to thrash Wellington Phoenix 5-1 on Thursday, asserting their finals berth.
Roar’s grip on the plate is loosening as they sit only four points ahead of second Western Sydney Wanderers.
They have an easy fixture this Sunday, as they take on Newcastle Jets and could start dangerously closing the gap for Roar.
