Olympiacos avenged their loss from last week which ended their hopes of an unbeaten league campaign, defeating Aris late to get their first win of the play-offs.

The Piraeus giants earned their sweet revenge against the Yellow-Blacks with a 2-1 home victory on Monday morning (AEDT) in the play-offs first round.

The league leaders missed their first golden chance to score when Youssef El Arabi’s penalty was saved by a diving Julian Cuesta (40’) but Pape Abou Cisse made up for it soon after with his headed goal from a corner (45+1’).

Aris managed to draw level through midfielder Babou Ndiaye (61’) but El Arabi had a second opportunity from the penalty spot which he did not miss (85’), giving his side their much-desired victory.

Panathinaikos was held to a 1-1 draw at home by AEK in the first derby of the play-offs stage.

The Greens struck first after pouncing on a loose ball, with winger Aitor Cantalapiedra lifting the ball over goalkeeper Cican Stankovic to give his side an early lead (4’).

Enosi equalised thanks to a penalty from forward Nordin Amrabat (45+2’) in the match’s final decisive moment.

PAOK continued their hot streak with a 1-0 victory over Giannina at Toumba courtesy of a goal at the death.

The Double-headed eagle of the North left it very late eventually found their elusive winner via a header from striker Chuba Akpom (90+1), extending their unbeaten streak in the league to 15.
