AHEPA volunteer Eftrepi Kristopoulos was presented with an award for her work for the community last week by the Commissioner of Senior Victorians, Gerard Mansour.
Mr Mansour presented the Ethnic Seniors Volunteering Award to Ms Kiritsopoulos last Thursday at a gathering of the Northern Federation of Ethnic Senior Citizens’ Clubs under the auspices of SPECTRUM’s Celebrating CALD Senior Volunteers Forum.
Ms Kiritsopoulos’ was recognised for her work at the AHEPA (Australasian Hellenic Educational Progressive Association) Chapter of Nafsika; as secretary of the choir Greek Paroikia; her volunteer work for line and ballroom dancing; and with SUEZ a Greek-Egyptian club which helps with cooking and general community affairs. Ms Kiritsopoulos is also a member of Arhondises Dance Group and a keen bowler.
At the same event Alexandros Dellidis, the president of Preston Greek Seniors also received a volunteer award for his work.
