George Kambosos Jr. is set to fight Devin Haney in a battle for undisputed status on on Sunday, 5 June 2022. The fight has been dubbed the biggest boxing match Australia has seen and judging by the speed tickets were sold, the Marvel Stadium spectacle will be -pun intended- ‘ferocious’.

Less than 30 hours hours after the in-attendance ringside tickets went on sale, they were sold out. As Kambosos Jr wrote in his tweet more rows are being added, however, once the link is open again the prime position seats will go fast.

Kambosos Jr shared in a tweet: “Ringside tickets all sold out within 30 hours All corporate suites sold out as well. They have now added more rows, 10-13 ringside due to demand! General Admission out April 22nd!!! Biggest fight in Aus history The roof on @marvelstadiumau is about to be blown off!!!”

After months of back and forth, Haney, who holds the only belt that George Kambosos Jr. does not have around his waist will get to face the ‘Ferocious’ Spartan in Australia.

The WBC Lightweight Champion will put his belt on the line for a chance to become the Undisputed Champion of the Lightweight Division who will be defending his belts for the first time.

The rivalry between the two is also growing. Speaking to FightHype.com while getting a haircut the Greek Australian said that he doesn’t trust Haney based on rumors surrounding his contract and various problems saying that his opponent “makes things up”.

“Yeah look, for me I feel like he’s got two sides. He tries to play the nice guy but deep down, you know, he’s very sly,” Kambosos Jr said. “You know I think he makes things up a lot in his head and it’s going to be very exciting this next, you know nine and a half weeks. Now leading into the big fight to see how, which way he goes.”

In response, Haney promised to take ‘Ferocious’ down in the ring and prove who is the real champion.
