A shipment of humanitarian aid from Greece, which includes food, hygiene items and medicines, arrived in Odessa, Ukraine, Greece’s Foreign Minister announced on Monday and was received by Dimitris Dochtsis, the Greek consul there.

Greece’s Foreign Ministry organised the mission in collaboration with the Region of Attica, the Greek Red Cross, Doctors of the World, the Sklavenitis supermarket chain and the Boumbouras Foundation, ANA-MPA confirmed.

On Tuesday (Greece time), another 50-ton shipment of humanitarian cargo will leave Athens for Odessa. The shipment includes tinned food, bottled water, antiseptic, sanitary equipment and three generators. The shipment is an addition to the mission accompanied by Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias who left for Odessa on 3 April. This will be the fourth humanitarian mission by the HRC.

This mission will be accompanied by foreign ministry official responsible for humanitarian assistance Alexandros Diakopoulos.
