Over 28 rare photographs taken by Nick Bourdaniotis capturing the members of the Greek Presidential Guard will be included in an exhibition organised under the auspices of Archbishop Makarios.
The images spanning the last 7 years in both Greece and Australia, capture behind the scenes moments of the iconic servicemen.
During that period, Mr Bourdaniotis had been granted access to the daily lives of Evzones, for historic, archival, media and documentary purposes.
Endorsed by the Greek Presidential Guard and the Hellenic General Staff of National Defence, the exhibition forms part of the official national program for last year’s bicentenary celebration of Greek Independence.
The selection of Mr Bourdaniotis’ “most beloved” photos will be presented at the Hellenic Club Sydney, between 27 and 29 May.
