Australia’s ambassador to Greece Arthur Spyrou met with the Greek Minister of Education and Religious Affairs Niki Kerameus in Athens on June 1 to discuss a range of issues affecting both countries and aimed at further strengthening ties. In what he described on Twitter as an excellent meeting with Ms Kerameus, Mr Spyrou said:

“We discussed the forthcoming mutual recognition of university degrees and steps to strengthening Australian and Greek student exchanges, paving the way for closer Australian and Greek community links and scientific cooperation.”
