On Saturday 9 July 2022, AGAPI Care celebrated yet another milestone by holding its 35th Anniversary Gala at the Lakeside Banquet and Convention Centre, attended by over 400 guests.
The list of guests included several dignitaries and officials, sporting leaders as well as esteemed members of the Community.
Bishop Evmenios Vasilopoulos from the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Australia District of Northcote attended representing Archbishop Makarios of Australia; Federal Member for Calwell – Maria Vamvakinou; Member of the Legislative Council Lee Tarlamis was there representing Premier Daniel Andrews; as well as Member for Cooper and Assistant Minister for Health and Aged Care Ged Kearney and Victorian Multicultural Commission Chair Vivienne Nguyen.

Mayor of Darebin Cr Lina Messina; Inspector Andrew Markakis APM of Victoria Police Consular Officer and Mr Dimitris Tsilikis representing Consul General of Greece in Melbourne Mr Emanuel Kakavelakis were also in attendance.
Master of Ceremonies Platon Denezakis presented the event introducing the speakers for the night. President of AGAPI Care Arthur Evriniadis welcomed the guests to the event spoke about the many achievements of AGAPI Care over the last 35 years and in particular about its amazing growth over the past four years under the new Committee of Management and the Executive team.

“AGAPI Care is no longer the poor cousin in the non for profit sphere but rather a trusted partner and award winning provider of services with a balance sheet showing over 20 million dollars in assets,” he said.
“The Ugly duckling had now truly become a beautiful swan” was one of the comments made by the President garnering the most reaction.
He concluded by thanking his Committee of Management, the Executive Managers and all the staff at AGAPI Care.
One of the key moments of the evening was the Life Membership introduction of a further three worthy recipients: Con Kyritsis, Diamond Zervakis and Ange Pilipasidis.
Chief Operating Officer of AGAPI Care, Mrs Pilipasidis alongside her Resources Manager, Angela Palamaras; Special Projects Coordinator Victoria Pilipasidis and Communications & Media Coordinator Mandy Fountoulaki received a special thank you at the end of the event for making the milestone a great night to remember.
