A six-year-old girl has drowned while swimming at a beach in Corinthia, Greece according to local authorities.
The girl had gone for a swim at popular beach Kalamaki with her father.
It is not yet confirmed how the girl drowned.
Her father noticed she did not come out of the water straight after she dove in; he immediately cried for help and the girl was pulled from the sea, the local coast guard reported.
The 6-year old was retrieved from the water unconscious and rushed to hospital by ambulance, where she was pronounced dead.
