The “Trifylli” is still on a perfect run of form after an injury time winner allowed them to down Aris in dramatic and devastating fashion.

Panathinaikos delivered a 1-0 win against the Thessaloniki side for their fans at “Apostolos Nikolaidis” Stadium on Monday morning (AEDT) in the premier fixture of the Greek Super League’s ninth round.

It took the Greens until the 90+2nd minute to go ahead as winger Benjamin Verbic’s free kick met Andraz Sporar, with the Slovenian burying it with his head past goalkeeper Julian Cuesta’s near post on the right side.

Aris’ night worsened after winger Luis Palma was given a straight red (90+6′), as Panathinaikos held on for their ninth consecutive win this term.

PAOK launched a late comeback to draw 2-2 with Asteras Tripolis at “Toumba” Stadium, rescuing a point in an otherwise disappointing result.

Midfielder Caleb Stanko gave the Arcadians the lead on the verge of half time with a tap-in header (45+2′) and teammate Leo Tilica made it two with a successful penalty down the middle (54′).

PAOK midfielder Jasmin Kurtic converted his spot-kick into the bottom left (81′) to bring the hosts back into the contest and striker Nelson Oliveira equalised in the final moments of the game, finishing off a corner movement (90+7′).

A pair of penalties from Rodrigo Erramuspe helped Giannina escape from Ionikos with a 2-2 away draw.

The Nikaia outfit went ahead, thanks to a magnificent long-range volley from winger Maximiliano Lovera into the bottom left (26′), before midfielder Aias Aosman doubled their lead with a brilliant free kick into the top left (31′).

Centre Half Erramuspe stepped up twice to the spot and buried each, first in the bottom right (55′) and then in the bottom left (85′).

Olympiacos recovered from last week’s loss to PAOK with a crucial 0-2 away victory over Panetolikos.

Spanish winger Pep Biel put the Piraeus giants ahead with a fantastic finish into the top left from the right side of the box (50′) and playmaker Mathieu Valbuena secured the result with a strike into the bottom left (82′).

Volos extended their winning streak to five with a 0-1 away triumph over Volos to temporarily move into second.

Winger Milos Deletic gave the Magnesia side the lead after tapping the ball in following a wonderful one-on-one save from goalkeeper Andreas Gianniotis (40′).

Paolo Fernandes then sealed the three points, with the wide player guiding the ball into the bottom right (54′) to take Volos to 20 points for the season.

Two contests are left to be played on Tuesday morning: Levadiakos-AEK and OFI-Lamia.
