The first round of applications is open for the South Australian government’s ‘Expand Together’ grant program under its 2023-24 Multicultural Grants Program.
The grants provide one-off funding to eligible multicultural organisations to purchase equipment and upgrade, extend or build community facilities’ infrastructure and equipment for use by South Australia’s multicultural communities.
“Our government recognises that community facilities and equipment play a vital role in providing space and resources for culturally and linguistically diverse communities to access services and promote the rich cultural diversity of South Australia in a way that is inclusive to the whole community,” said Zoe Bettison, SA Minister for Multicultural Affairs.
One time grants of up to $100,000 are available to organisations for projects they plan to deliver over the next 12 months.

The program aims to ensure that community members have access to the services, programs and resources they need to connect with one another and the wider locality.
The first round of applications, which opened on 17 October this year, will close on 15 January 2023 at 11pm.
A second round of applications will open on 1 June 2023, these will close on 30 August.
Organisations who would like to apply but are unsure if they meet the criteria can contact the SA Government’s Multicultural Grants Team on 1300 239 468.
Last year’s funding recipients include the Greek Museum of Adelaide, the Greek Community of Port Pirie, Hellenic Society of Barmera and South Australia’s Pan Macedonian Federation.
