After a disappointing draw last week to Ionikos, Panathinaikos will be especially eager to deliver a victory for their fans against OFI as they continue their fight for the title.
The league leaders take on the Cretans at “Leoforos” Stadium on Thursday morning (AEDT) in the 15th round of the Greek Super League, and three points are a must as the Greens side strive to demonstrate the same form displayed in the first half of the competition.
OFI will need to muster all their strength as they challenge a “Trifylli” side that has yet to taste defeat in the league this season.
Panathinaikos’ closest premiership rival, AEK, is preparing for a tough trip to Volos and so will need to put their best foot forward to continue pushing for first place.
PAOK is aiming to record their fifth straight win when they go away to face a tricky (though inconsistent) Atromitos outfit.
Olympiacos battles Asteras Tripolis at “Georgios Karaiskakis” ground with only victory on their minds after drawing last week, a result which allowed PAOK to go two points ahead of them.
Levadiakos and Ionikos go head-to-head in a bottom-of-the-table clash, making it a must-win for both outfits as they seek to steer away from the dangerous relegation zone.
Aris hosts Panetolikos at “Kleanthis Vikelidis” Stadium on Friday morning and, following a draw against Levadiakos last matchday, they will be raring to go and get back to winning ways.
Lamia competes with Giannina at “Athanasios Diakos” Stadium in the round’s closing match, with both sides eager to snap their ten-game and four-game winless streaks respectively.
