PAOK and Aris are set for a huge local rivalry clash that could have massive implications on each of their respective seasons.

The Thessaloniki derby headlines the Greek Super League’s 16th round on Thursday morning (AEDT), and the Double-headed eagle of the North will be aiming to utilise “Toumba” Stadium to bag their fifth win in a row and extend the gap between the two teams to seven points.

Aris is also highly motivated to cause an upset, knowing that they will get within a point of their bitter enemies if they can down them in front of their home supporters.

Panathinaikos goes away to face Levadiakos on Wednesday morning and they are in dire need of a confidence boost after two successive draws and, with a derby against second-placed AEK set for the weekend, they cannot afford to drop points again.

AEK travels to play Giannina and, like the Greens, they will be seeking a victory to get themselves in good form before the two Athenian giants tee off against one other in the following round.

Olympiacos competes with Ionikos away and the Piraeus club will be keen to down the current wooden spooners and potentially ascend past PAOK on the ladder.

OFI hosts Volos in the opening match of the round and the Magnesia outfit will be striving for maximum points as they look to protect their spot in fifth.

Asteras Tripolis battles an out-of-form Lamia side at home on Thursday morning that is in desperate need of a success after going their last ten matches in all competitions winless.

Panetolikos takes on Atromitos at home in what looms to be a tight game between eighth and seventh, with the Agrinio side looking to improve, having only secured one victory in their last five outings.
