Digital literacy sessions are once again being run by Greek welfare provider PRONIA at Oakleigh library during the school terms until June 2023.

Community Educator Antonis Maglis will deliver 10 classes filled with useful guidance on how to navigate a range of websites such as MyGov, MyAgedCare and more.

The Term 2 classes will be held at the Oakleigh Library every Wednesday from 12pm – 1.30pm and are directed to individuals that have some basic digital knowledge.

The sessions are open to clients, past students, carers, and general community members who have an email and access technology.

PRONIA has collaborated with Services Australia to jointly facilitate sessions for seniors in Greek and English.

The dates and topics for the sessions are:

  1. Wed 26 April 12 – 1.30pm – language Services website how to navigate info in Greek
  2. Wed 3 May 12 – 1.30pm – overview of digital services different specialist services
  3. Wed 10 May 12 – 1.30pm – introduction MyGov and creating MyGov account
  4. Wed 17 May 12 – 1.30pm – MyGov- linking services
  5. Wed 24 May 12 – 1.30pm – navigating linked MyGov services
  6. Wed 31 May 12 – 1.30pm – overseas travel and information about your pension portability
  7. Wed 7 June 12 – 1.30pm – MyAgedCare
  8. Wed 14 June 12 -1.30pm – MyAgedCare
  9. Wed 21 June 12 – 1.30pm – MyAgedCare
