The Association of Friends of Byzantine Music of South Australia, in conjunction with The South Australian Council for the Greek Cultural Month, invites you to their event Sounds from Asia Minor.

This concert will take you on a musical journey, with Byzantine, folkloric, and urban songs beautifully arranged by the musical director Dr Demeter Tsounis.
The program will include songs from Constantinople, Smyrni, Pontus, Thrace and Macedonia, performed by the choir led by Stephanos Kakoulis and accompanied by nine brilliant instrumentalists: Dr Demeter Tsounis – director and piano, Steve Papadopoulos – guitar, Michael Papacharalambous – clarinet, Michael Tyllis – oud, Mary Raptis – violin, Charlie Yarak – kanun, nei, Con Dallas – percussion, Dang Thao Nguyen – mandolin, and Rev. Stephen van der Hoek – accordion.
