The newly refurbished Oakleigh Grammar Science Wing was officially launched earlier on this month.
The science rooms needed to be refurbished to meet the purposes of 21st century learning approaches to science. Oakleigh Grammar is an International
Baccalaureate Candidate School and, as such, is required to provide students with high quality learning facilities as part of its provision of the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program.
At the ceremony, staff and students thanked local government representatives and the Greek Orthodox Community of Oakleigh and District for their efforts in securing over $880,000 in funding for the project. $623,000 was from the Australian government, and the Greek Orthodox Community of Oakleigh &
District donated $257,000.
“Our new science rooms are another huge step towards our vision of becoming a leading co-educational school that delivers quality education at international standards,” said the principal of Oakleigh Grammar, Mark Robertson, during the launching ceremony.
