The process of electing a new president for SYRIZA-PS is now in its final stages, following the unanimous approval of the five candidates by the party’s Continuous Congress last Saturday.

The voting will take place on Sunday, September 10, with Effie Achtsioglou, Euclid Tsakalotos, Nikos Pappas, Stefanos Tzoumakas, and Stefanos Kasselakis entering the fray.

If a second round of voting is required, it will be held on September 16.

The Press Office of SYRIZA-PS has issued a Press Release regarding the process, which includes electronic voting for overseas residents responding to the most commonly asked questions:

How do I vote for the President?

All individuals aged 15 and above who are either already members of SYRIZA – Progressive Alliance or register as members until September 9 are eligible to vote, even on the day of the elections at the polling stations.

When do I vote?

On Sunday, September 10, 2023, from 8am and close at 8pm.

Where do I vote?

There are 570 polling stations located throughout the country. Those who are already members and those who register on the day of the vote can cast their ballots at ANY POLLING STATION IN GREECE, even if they are outside their electoral region. The polling stations will be announced in the coming hours.

What do I need to have with me?

A valid ID card, passport, driver’s license, health booklet, residence permit, visa, or a blue certificate. A 2-euro election fee is required to participate in the voting process.

Migrants and those under the age of 17 must provide a legal document proving their identity, as well as their AMKA (Greek Social Security Number).

How do I vote from abroad?

For overseas residents, the voting will take place electronically on Sunday, September 10, from 8am and close at 8pm. Voting rights are extended to registered members and those who register on isyriza until Thursday, September 7, at 4pm Greece time.
